Tag Archives: 2 months

This was a hard month. Cameron started crying a a few weeks ago and hasn’t stopped since. He’s only content when he’s held and is constantly gassy and spitting up. We’re trying to figure out a solution to help ease his discomfort, but nothing has worked yet. We’re operating on very little sleep and just trying to take it minute by minute.

On the brighter side, Cooper is still obsessed with his brother and gives him kisses all day. He is always asking when the baby will be big enough to play with him and I always tell him too soon.

How is it even possible that this little boy is already two months old? I can’t even begin to wrap my mind around it. It seems like just yesterday I was frantically calling Corey from work and telling him “ummm, I think my water broke!”.

He got half of his 2 month shots last week and goes back for the other half next month. I’m glad our doctor is spacing things out because it kills me to see him scream in pain and I think 4 shots is a lot for any 2 month old baby to handle, full term or not. He’s a whopping 8lbs 6oz and 21.75 inches long and in the 25% for weight and 75% for length compared to full term babies, which is great seeing as he wasn’t even on the charts when he was born.

He’s awake a lot more these days (and nights!) and is starting to smile, and that’s pretty awesome! He got his first bath this month too and he seemed to enjoy it. There’s no sweeter smell than a clean baby. His favorite place to be is either sleeping on my chest (I think that ones my favorite too) or laying on his play mat. He wants nothing to do with the swing or the bouncy chair and only lasts for a few minutes before he wants to be held again. I don’t mind though. I will gladly hold that little boy all day long. After all, there will come a day when he won’t want to be held and I love feeling his weight in my arms and on my chest. I think my heart grows two sizes each time I feel his chest rise and fall against mine. He nuzzles his face in the crook of my neck and I am convinced there is no better feeling in the world.

Happy 2 month birthday, little guy!
